Kenya dairy board suspends proposed dairy regulations of 2019

Kenya Dairy Board has bowed to intense pressure by farmers on social media and other channels and have announced the suspension of the processing of proposed draft dairy regulations of 2019.
According to the letter, this is to allow for further stakeholder consultation. Some clauses in the law seemed to be out of touch with dairy small scale farmers. This led to outcries from farmers and others in the dairy value chain. See more about the regulations at
